IAIN SCOTT
... is one of Canada's leading experts on OPERA.
His company "OPERA-IS" develops opera appreciation courses, opera tours and opera guides.
He is a frequent BROADCASTER on Opera.
For the last 24 years he has been a regular guest quiz panellist and commentator on CBC Radio's "Saturday Afternoon at the Opera".
For eight seasons (1987 - 1995) he was a panellist on the "Texaco Opera Quiz" from the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
He is also in great demand as a LECTURER on Opera (see his 2008 schedule):
In the USA he has lectured for Opera America, for Opera Guilds International, for the New York Wagner Society, for the American Wagner Association, for the Wagner Society of Washington DC, for Palm Beach Opera, for the Smithsonian Institution of Washington DC and also for the Chautauqua Institution.
In the Toronto area, he has given many lectures for the Guilds and friends of the Canadian Opera Company, for Opera Hamilton/Opera Ontario, for the Toronto Wagner Society, for the Mozart Society, etc - and has introduced over 80 "obscure" operas for Opera in Concert.
