Opera In Concert

Opera in Concert has been producing operatic rarities for over 34 years. The company was founded by Stuart Hamilton, who was its driving force the first 20 years. When Stuart retired in 1994, Opera in Concert came under the Artistic Direction of Guillermo Silva-Marin who has continued the tradition of reviving little known operas and producing Canadian premieres. The mission of the organization has always been to feature emerging Canadian artists.

For over 20 years, Iain has given a context-setting "Backgrounder" for nearly every single performance. He will continue this in 2007 - 08.
