Each year, with incredible generosity, Richard and Donna Holbrook have given a prize to two graduating students from the University of Toronto's Opera School -- an all-expenses paid opportunity to come on a VERDI'S ITALY tour with Iain and Barbara.

In this way, aspiring singers, who may one day sing on the stages of La Scala or La Fenice are given a unique chance to see these houses as an audience member. They are also enabled to make the special pilgrimage to Verdi's birthplace, his villa and his grave.
