This year we will visit FLORENCE to see Zubin Mehta conduct CARMEN at the Maggio Musicale, then to GENOA to see LA SONNAMBULA at the Carlos Felice, then to BOLOGNA to see NORMA and finally to MILAN and LA SCALA to see Lorin Maazel conduct his own opera 1984 - starring Canada's Richard Margison. A highlight of our tour will be a visit to "the Verdi sites" which will include his villa at SANT'AGATA and his birthplace at LE RONCOLE. We will have lunch in CARLO BERGONZI's restaurant in BUSSETO. When we are in Milan, we will visit Verdi's grave at the Casa di Riposo.
